RULES & REGULATIONS
The rules state the definition of amateur/home produced is:-
"Handler not to have been paid for showing or producing any horse for a third party, this includes any remuneration either as employment, casual showing, or any in-kind benefits whatsoever.
Horse not to have "resided" on a professional yard on show or training livery in 2010.
Horse not to have been shown by a professional in 2010.
Horse not to have received "regular" training from a visiting professional in 2010.
Exhibitors DO NOT have to be members of AHS to enter the Championships when qualified
We suggest that all amateurs wear a yellow armband at shows when in open competition, as this helps the stewards identify who should qualify.
British Amateur Home Produced Arabian Championships 2010
To be held on Saturday 18th September at:
Bromyard Equestrian Centre
The Sturts Farm
Winslow
Bromyard
HR7 4SR
This year we have introduced a change to the qualifying process, a pre-purchased qualifying card (as with BACS) will need to be taken into the ring for the judge to sign at time of qualifying. The qualifying criteria will remain un changed.
The signed card will then be sent back to me and a schedule, entry form and stable form will then be sent to the exhibitor to fill in and return. We feel this will give more people the chance to qualify and not rely on shows to remember to give the cards out – I think 60% of cards remained in show offices last year.
The cards will be £10 with cheques payable to bahpac and will be available from :-
8 All Saints Close
Royton
Oldham
Lancs
OL2 5RD
Please enclose an SAE with cheque for the qualifying card.
Many thanks and hope to see you all this year.
In hand Judge – Mr Ian Woodward
Ridden Judge – Mr David Froggat
Pure Bred Youngstock – Fillies and Geldings
